Symptoms by Adam-Scott-Miller Symptoms by Adam-Scott-Miller
One of my most complicated and undoubtedly my most detailed works. Another among the few in which I address the spheres of suffering and try to get at the root cause via its symptoms.

graphite, pastel, oil on 18 x 24 in. bristol vellum paper mounted on Ampersand hardbord

"Hundreds of stupid flies gather
On a piece of rotten meat,
Enjoying, they think, a delicious feast.
This image fits with the song
Of the myriads of foolish living beings
Who seek happiness in superficial pleasures;
In countless ways they try,
Yet I have never seen them satisfied."

not sold yet, at least as far as I know. It's up at The Hive Gallery in downtown Los Angeles for 1600.

the detail that you've put into this piece is really well done, it doesn't clutter the picture what so ever, especially with the colors that you've selected makes the picture very eye-pleasing~
its funny this picture reminds of of Alex Greys Cosmic Christ.
great job!

thank you Serpent Asked Seven! yes, i see what you mean, the similarity with conveying portal-windows into aspects of human activity.

I like this new piece a lot, but PWH is still my fave. Again, the layering is great! All the parts are well-painted like usual.

I see you incorporated a cardioid (heart curve), a mathematical curve. I didn't know you were into math too. I like the way joined all the elements (spheres of suffering) by having them touch tangentially the curve. Meaning: the root of all suffering comes/touches from the heart?

It's definitely an ingenious composition, and highly symbolic!

Ha! I am thrilled you got so much of it. I am into science/math and those studies inform the corresponding dynamics of my networks and compositions.

Yes, the root of all suffering comes from a partial disconnect with our hearts.

Thanks man!

That's some "wow" work you made there. The details on the statue and the small circular pictures around are very well done.

I love the straight and rounded lines that look radar-like.

The symbolism of this work impresses me very much and the symptoms are for me humaneness and fanaticism.
