It seems pretty obvious that in your last two portraits, you have taken on a new direction: combining abstract realism and symbolism, with an energy art undertone. This is something no-one has done before, and the field is yours for now. I'm personally not as attracted to symbolism, so I explore abstract realism and energy art in surrealism.
A magnificent piece. The lighting/look reminds me as if you were sticking your head into tropical waters to see the world below - in this case peering higher.
A suggestion if you don't mind: take symbolism into 3D. Maybe via platonic solids [link] and more general solids [link][link] or their combinations.
